Hotel Hofgarten Luzern, Lucerne

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and had windows at each end, providing a great size and natural light. While there was no lift access due to the old building, the room size made up for it. The service was top-notch; the staff reacted to my son's needs as a mother and even helped steam his suit for a special occasion. The location was perfect, being midway between the city center and the famous Lion monument, with easy access to attractions. The dining experience was absolutely glorious, with a huge choice to suit every traveler and high-quality products. I couldn't have asked for more in terms of facilities. Two things to note are that there's no aircon in the rooms but leaving the windows open at night worked well, and the hotel is downtown close to the lake side.

The hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms, while spacious, were showing some age for a 4-star property, but they did have enough room for a baby bed. The service was very friendly and welcoming, with helpful staff, though there was no air conditioning in the rooms. The location was really convenient, close to attractions and a short walk to the station. Dining was simple but good, and the breakfast was superb. Overall, a mixed bag but with some standout features.

Overall, a worthwhile stay for the experience and value provided.
